Events to bring people to downtown Placerville

There are a couple of activities taking place next month in Placerville that will no doubt draw visitors to the downtown area.

The first event will be the 20th annual Craft Faire presented by the Placerville Downtown Association. A number of vendors will be on hand to sell their arts and crafts, including woodwork, pottery, jewelry, dolls, and garden items. Items must be handcrafted by the seller.

Spaces are still available for $75 for a 10 x 10-foot booth and $130 for a 20 x 10-foot booth; vendors must supply their own tents, tables, and chairs. Main Street vendors will get first priority, and there will also be food vendors and free parking.

Later on in the month is the Hangtown Thursday Night Car Show hosted by the Placerville Lions Club. Main Street will be filled with classic and vintage automobiles. To find out more, or to register a vehicle, contact Mike at 530-622-1731.

In order to decorate their booths, vendors may invest in sign or banner printing services, which will likely attract more Placerville shoppers.

The Craft Faire will be held on August 14 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Admission is free. To learn more or to become a vendor, contact the Placerville Downtown Association at 530-672-3436.

The car show will take place on August 25 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Again, there is no charge for admission.
