Placerville’s first responders are about to go head to head in a friendly competition that will raise money for area families. They will head to the kitchen to see who makes the tastiest chili, and the public is welcome to get in on the fun.
The 911 Cook Off will see 21 groups of first responders show off their chili-making skills, and event goers will be welcome to sample them all. There will also be lots of other activities, and local police, firefighters, EMS, probation officers and CHP will all be involved.
The planners of the celebration have organized it to be a family friendly occasion. Live entertainment will be on hand to keep the crowd on its feet, and beer and wine will be poured for the adult guests. A “vendor alley” will offer an opportunity to browse through products and services offered by local companies, and all of this is on offer at a ticket price of $20.
This type of function can bring the community together to have a fun time. Postcards from a flyer printing company can be sent out to local households to make them aware of when an event like this will be happening in their area.
