History lovers are in for a memorable evening next month, as an oral history of the Cedar Ravine region near Placerville will be shared with interested guests.
The Whispers of Past Macabre Tales of the Cedar Ravine Historic District will see local historians sharing tales of spooky incidents that have occurred in the region. The oral history will be paired with a guided lantern tour around town to add to the environment.
The El Dorado County Historical Society organizes the event, which aims to illuminate the region’s hundreds of years of history. The tour guide will share incidents and stories related to the pioneer families that put down roots in the area that became Placerville. Participants will also learn more about the architecture and timeframe of famous homes in the region. Brochure printing is an effective medium for sharing additional information about this kind of event with attendees.
In addition to countless homes, registered guests will get a lantern tour of the oldest church in El Dorado County. Proper footwear is recommended for guests’ comfort and safety, and people of all ages are welcome to attend the tour.
Registered guests will meet at 1031 Thompson Way on Saturday, October 26. Doors open at 9:45 AM, and tours will continue until 10:00 PM. Tickets are available online for $33.85 per attendee.
