Hanging a wreath made from freshly harvested evergreen branches can provide the final touch to preparing for the holidays, and a Petaluma workshop will teach the public how they can make one from scratch.
McEvoy Ranch has made plans to offer a session that will teach how to prepare a festive wreath using traditional techniques. The design will include botanical materials such as bay, lavender and rosemary, along with other design elements, and the method taught can be used to craft decor that can be used during any season.
The frame, branches and other items used to make the wreaths will be supplied, and the organizer explained that the frame can be reused to create other projects. Each registrant is asked to bring along a water bottle, gloves and pruning shears, but these will be supplied if they don’t have them. Anyone who would like to stay for lunch afterwards can register to do so when they sign up for the workshop.
Hosting a hands-on activity like this can be a lot of fun for both the participants and the facilitator alike. A flyer printing company will be able to offer a variety of ways of marketing the class to the local community.
McEvoy Ranch will be kicking off the holiday span with this wreath crafting class on December 6. Registration is required to attend the function.
