The 2nd annual Ribs for Kids Cook-off is taking place next month. It is a fundraiser for Petaluma Active 20 - 30.
The competition is open to both professional and amateur grillers. Last year there were 12 competitors. The deadline to enter this year is June 1 and the fee is $150 per team.
Each team must prepare eight racks of baby back ribs. Competitors are encouraged to prepare a unique presentation, wear costumes, and decorate their spaces.
In addition to the contest, guests can enjoy musical entertainment, beer, and wine. Of course, they will also have the opportunity to sample ribs.
Sponsorships can be purchased for $100 up to $2,000. They will be recognized in advertising Flyers and Banners displayed at the event.
Since decoration of their booths is recommended, many of the Petaluma participants will likely be investing in sign and banner printing services to make them look more appealing.
The event will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on June 18 from 11:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the gate for adults and include eight food tickets and one beverage ticket.
