Growing and training a bonsai tree is a hobby enjoyed by many, and an upcoming Petaluma workshop will provide an introduction to this ancient art form.
Each person who takes part in the ‘Art of Bonsai’ class will be given an introduction to the basics of this method of caring for a plant, which can live for many years. It will be facilitated by Donald Hoisington, who is the owner of Bullseye Bonsai and who has over a decade of experience in working with these miniature trees. According to its organizers, the class is suitable for both beginners and those who are interested in adding to their knowledge base.
The Seed Bank will serve as the host for the occasion, and is open to people of all ages. Each person who attends will have an opportunity to select the species of tree that they would like to work with, and at the conclusion of the event, they will be able to take their new bonsai home with them. Digital copying can be used to create Copies of any handouts that will be distributed during a continuing education class such as this.
