Petaluma cheese makers offer a huge range of their ware to the local market, and during what has been billed as the biggest cheesemaking gala for this year, the public is invited to come out and sample what they have to offer.
The products from at least four area cheese producers will be available for sampling, ranging from aromatic blues to triple cream bries, ones made from sheep’s milk or raw milk, and also those that have undergone a long period of aging. While these will take pride of place during the tasting, there will be plenty more going on as well.
Sweet treats crafted by Farm Chocolates will also be available to sample, and the different cheese makers will be on site to answer questions and discuss the process of how they create their products. The ticket price for the evening will be $35 each, which includes two glasses of house wine, and all the chocolate, cheese, crackers and salami a guest wishes to eat. Promotional Drinkware and other printed products for an event like this can be supplied by a local printer.
September 1 has been selected as the date for this occasion, which will take place in the Barber Cellars Tasting Room at 112 Washington Street. The Barber Cellars’ Facebook page includes further details about this event, as well as an opportunity to purchase tickets ahead of time.
