Residents in Petaluma have the chance to try-out various self-propelled watercrafts, including kayaks and hydrobikes.
For $10, interested adults can venture to the Turning Basin to test-drive several different watercrafts for 20 minutes each. Children, aged 12 and under, don’t have to pay. However, there may be some restrictions as to who can use the watercrafts.
Between watercraft usage, individuals and families can enjoy the restaurants and shops at the nearby River Plaza, or take a stroll along the Petaluma River.
Hosted by the Petaluma Small Craft Center (PSCC) the proceeds from this event will help fund construction of ‘The Floathouse’, a future boat and board rental center that will be located on the Turning Basin.
Throughout the year, PSCC hosts and supports many recreational and family-friendly events. Its goal is to help make the Petaluma River area more accessible. In addition, the PSCC hopes the rental center will be a place to gather, watch, and learn. Of course, the center also wants to encourage people to enjoy the river.
It’s likely the event organizers have utilized banner printing to create Signs to hang near the River Plaza and other high-traffic areas in Petaluma. A colorful banner could advertise the event’s time, place, and other important details.
