It is almost time to kick off another gardening season, and Petaluma is being offered a special opportunity to score some new plants.
Those who attend the Bounty Community Farm plant sale will be treated to a chance to choose from thousands of annuals and perennials as well as vegetable transplants. The organizers note that they will be modestly priced, and both old favorites and new cultivars will be on offer.
While guests browse and make their selections, they will also be able to meet with experts in the horticultural field. They can ask questions and when they head for home with their new garden additions, they will be supporting area seniors and low-income families to have access to healthy food such as fruits and vegetables.
The prices for vegetable seedlings will start at $3 each, while the flowering and other herbaceous plants will be priced according to their type. Patrons will be asked to book a timeslot ahead of time, and sign-in sheets, contact tracing Forms, and other documents for this sort of gathering may be sourced from area Stationery printers.
The 2021 annual Spring Plant Sale will be helping the whole community have access to good food on April 25. An initiative of Petaluma Bounty, it will be held at 55 Shasta Avenue. Details about the activity can be found on the not-for-profit’s website.
