Petaluma public welcome to visit local farms

A fall event will offer these operations a tip of the hat while giving the public a sneak peek behind the farm gate. Petaluma sits in the heart of one of the state’s top agricultural areas, and this community of farmers and other producers help to keep the region well fed.

For one weekend, farmsteads and other agricultural operations in Petaluma and all across the county will be welcoming visitors, and it can be a fun idea for local families. Most of the locations along the route will be offering activities free of charge but registration is mandatory.

Those who participate will be treated to a variety of hands on agricultural experiences that can range from meeting farm animals face to face to learning how beekeepers practice their art. Many will have samples to share, and fresh produce and other products may be available for purchase.

This type of event can help to form a strong connection between the public and an area’s community of farmers. Those that plan of being part of the function can have Signs, Banners, and an assortment of Promotional Products prepared for the occasion by a Print shop.

This year’s Weekend Along the Farm Trails will be putting local agricultural operations in the spotlight on October 10th and 11th. The Visit Petaluma website will have the most up to date details about this initiative.
