It has been 50 years since “American Graffiti” first hit the big screen, and a Petaluma car show will take a page from the popular movie.
The Salute to American Graffiti Car Show and Cruise will be held in the city’s downtown, which was the setting of the film. The activity is restricted to vehicles made in the USA before 1972, and they will be parked along the city’s streets.
Along with an opportunity to view classic cars, the function will offer the public food, entertainment, and other activities. According to the event listing, some changes have been made to the function that will make it different to before, and those who plan on coming out are advised to acquaint themselves with these.
Anyone who would like to display a vehicle is welcome to register to do so, and they will be assigned a space and arrival time, which they are asked to stick to as only a select number will be available. Each registrant will receive a cruise pass, and this portion of the day will see the classic cars drive the streets where the filming of the movie took place. A Jumpstart Diner and kick-off social are scheduled to be held ahead of this main event. A printer can prepare Logo Design for a special occasion like this.
The 2023 Salute to American Graffiti Car Show will roll into Petaluma on Saturday, May 20.
