A Petaluma group that will welcome both experienced and novice knitters is getting ready to kick off its first meeting.
The first gathering of “Knitters not Quitters” will be a way to enjoy the hobby while socializing with others who also enjoy working with needles and yarn. Organizers welcome anyone who would like to be a part of a friendly group of crafters, and whether they prefer to crochet or knit, they are invited to be part of the fun. The plan is to enjoy some tea and light snacks while everyone chats and gets to know one another, and as it will be held in early January, it offers a creative way to kick off a new year.
As all levels of experience can participate, those with a lot of experience will be able to share their knowledge with the newbies in the group. All people need to bring is a crochet hook or knitting needles and some yarn, and the plan is for the participants to meet at a different member's home each week.
A community-based event like this can often benefit from some light marketing. A flyer printing company can offer an inexpensive way to reach out to the public.
The first ever meeting of “Knitters not Quitters” is set to be held on January 5th. The location will be released to each participant upon registration.
