Petaluma to host evening at Mardi Gras

A taste of New Orleans is on the way for Petaluma, and all ages are welcome to join in the festivities.

The Mardi Gras-themed party, which is being held in support of school music programs throughout the area, will include a dinner that has been specially planned for the occasion. Live entertainers will be on hand, and there will be lots going on for all the attendees to enjoy.

Preferred Sonoma Caterers have prepared a menu just for the evening, which will include a variety of Cajun-style dishes. Chicken etoufee (meaning served over rice), jambalaya pilaf, and cornbread are just some of the items that will be on offer, and each guest will be given Mardi Gras favors. A local Print company can use graphic design to craft these types of items for use during themed activities such as this.

The King Street Giants will provide the entertainment for the celebration, and the ticket prices start at $25 for adults age 21 and over. Those under 21 will be asked to pay $15, and tickets for anyone age 12 and under will be free of charge. This will be the fifth year for the event, and it is set to begin at 5:30 pm in the Lagunitas Beer Sanctuary.

February 13, which is better known as “Fat Tuesday” in New Orleans, has been chosen as the date for the party. More information, as well as a chance to purchase tickets, can be found on its event listing.
