Locals can sample some ‘hot’ food at the 18th Annual Great Petaluma Chili Cook-off, Salsa, and Beer Tasting event.
Local chili and salsa chefs will prepare food for guests to taste. Food and craft vendors will also be on site and there will be live entertainment, such as bands, dance groups, and a magic act.
Challengers can enter as a team. For a single food entry, fees are $65 for a restaurant, or catering business, or $75 for an individual or service group. Judges will take part in a blind taste test to try the entries. ‘People’s Choice’ and ‘Judges’ Choice’ awards will be handed out, along with the ‘Grand Champion’ title. Various other awards will also be granted.
Tickets cost $25 for those who want to try chili and salsa, or it is $40 for a chili, salsa, and beer tasting ticket. Admission is $10 for kids under age 12 and little ones under age 5 are free. Tickets are available online until 8:30 am on event day or at the gate.
The event will benefit the Cinnabar Theater Young Repertory Company, a nonprofit regional theater. No doubt the organization has asked a Print company to create Signs, Flyers, and Banners to promote the event.
Things will start to heat up on May 9 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds in Herzog Hall, located at 175 Fairgrounds Drive.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Signs Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Banners
