Owls are silent hunters, and since they are usually active at night, most people never get a chance to see one. A Petaluma event can change that, and it will also extend a helping hand to these birds of prey.
All About Owls, Inc. has issued an invitation to one and all to be a part of its Owl Festival, which will offer insight into the lives of these birds, the threats they face, and what local people can do to help. The event will take place on a working farm.
The gusts at the function will be treated to a catered dinner, which will feature vegetarian Mexican cuisine. Wine will be served, and a presentation about owls is also on the agenda. The organizers explained that one of the main points of the event will be to raise awareness about the impact of rodenticides can have on these birds.
All of the monies that are raised during the Owl festival will be donated to All About Owls, and the gathering will be held at Tara Firma Farms.
