Petaluma farm set to open its gates for springtime celebration

Spring is on the way for the Petaluma area, and Windrush Farm Fiber Arts will be bidding winter a fond farewell, and greeting the new season with a day of family fun down on the farm.

The event will give the public a chance to meet some of its four legged and feathery residents, including chickens, a goat, cow, sheep, and lambs. They will also learn about the process of turning wool and other fibers into yarn and fabric, and have an opportunity to tour the farm.

At 10:00 am, the gates will be open to the visitors, and everyone is asked to arrive on time. The group will see a spinning demonstration, meet and feed the sheep, and also visit the other animals. The pond will provide a pleasant backdrop for a picnic lunch, and the younger guests can spot turtles and hunt for pollywogs.

Adult passes for this visit to the farm are $20 for adults, while children who are 12 and under will be admitted at no charge, A banner printing company will be able to design a welcome banner and other items for a special event like this.
