What's Happening in Petaluma, CA…

Petaluma event to salute small businesses

Petaluma is a community that believes in supporting its small businesses, and a local event will show some love to these establishments.

The city will be celebrating the role small businesses play in its economy by organizing its annual Downtown Holiday Market and Shopping Stroll. The whole family may find plenty to catch their interest, and there will be special seasonal themed activities on offer.

Attendees can start their day with breakfast at one of eateries located in Petaluma's downtown core. They can then enjoy some browsing and buying at the makers’ market that will pop up along Kentucky Street. There will be a variety of gift ideas in the mix, and live music, dance performances, face painters, balloon twisters, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus are all on the agenda. Many of the small businesses will have sales and holiday giveaways in the works, and the Luma Shuttle service will be available too.

Many community holiday events include a visit with Santa. Stationery printers can prepare pre-printed postcards for kids to fill out, and these can be collected and sent along to the North Pole.

Members of Petaluma’s Downtown BID and artisans and makers from across Sonoma County will be showcasing all they have on offer on Saturday, December 14. Its start time is 11:00 am.
