One of the many products produced in Petaluma is artisanal goat cheese, and during a workshop that has been planned for the area, local members of the public will have an opportunity to learn more about how this food is made.
Redwood Hill Creamery and Daily Acts will be joining forces to present a Cheese Making workshop. Those who attend will learn all about the process of transforming fresh goats milk into cheese, as well as its history, varieties that are available, and much more. They will have a chance to observe the art of cheesemaking, from start to finish, and after the conclusion of the demonstration, there will be time set aside to sample some for themselves while the facilitators share tips about how to select the right cheese for any occasion or food pairing.
A portion of the day will be spent touring Redwood Hill Farm to see how it cares for its goats and has found a way to operate on a sustainable basis. Booklet printing can be utilized to craft handouts with recipes and other information about goat’s milk cheese to give to each participant.
The ticket price for the function has been set at $45 each, and the exact location will be given to each person who Signs up to take part when they register. It has been planned for June 24th, and additional details can be found on its listing on Daily Act’s website.
