Residents of Novato who would like to learn some easy ways they can make sure they are prepared for environmental and other hazards have been invited to be part of an event that will be on offer this spring. It will be held near Petaluma, and will run for two hours.
This free session is being offered through the collaborative efforts of the communities that call Marin County home. According to its organizers, the goal is to give citizens tools and knowledge they can use to be well prepared, and there is no cost to take a seat in the workshop.
The planners of the seminar noted that, by helping to ensure everyone is prepared for an emergency, there will be a reduction in loss of both lives and property. It will also help to lower the burden on the local system of first responders and healthcare centers and reduce the cost incurred by area governments, all while helping to build a strong community.
An event like this can also provide an opportunity for people to meet and get to know their neighbors a little bit better, and publications from a flyer printing company can help to spread the word to anyone who may be interested. It is being offered as part of the ‘Get Ready for Emergency Disaster Preparedness’ program.
The All Saint’s Lutheran Church located at 2 San Marin drive in Novato will be hosting this learning opportunity on May 7. Its scheduled start time is 7:00 pm.
