Petaluma area to hold fiber-themed festival

Those who work with or enjoy a hobby involving the fiber arts may find that a special event on the way for the Petaluma area will help them to get crafting.

An experience that will welcome yarn lovers from all over Northern California will be on offer this July, and it will be running for two days. Many of the yarn shops in the Wine Country region will be participating, and it supplies an introduction to what each of them has to offer.

Anyone who would like to get involved can register at the first shop they visit, but this is not mandatory. Those who choose to sign up will receive several special Corporate Gifts including a tote bag with a fun graphic design, and patterns and prize draw tickets will be distributed as well.

To encourage each participant to engage in deep dive exploration of the area’s fiber arts scene, each registrant will receive a printed passport showing the various locations on the “hop” route. The list of participating businesses is growing, and a full roster will be released at a later date.

The Wine County Yarn Hop will begin on July 23, and continue on until July 24. Its online listing is the place to go for more details, including the locations that will be taking part in this craft-themed activity.
