Food for Thought is a not-for-profit group that works to ensure everyone has food on their table, and it has planned a donation drive for Petaluma.
The group has put out a call to the community asking everyone to be as generous as they can in support of the drive. Donations can be dropped off at Petaluma Market, and these contributions will help to feed the more than 4,000 residents of Sonoma County who rely on the service.
In the event’s description, the organizers explained that to get involved, all that members of the public need to do is add a few extra items to their grocery list. These include staples such as bread, crackers, canned fruit, and beans. A team from Food for Thought will be on site at the market to collect the donations and ensure they make their way to those in need.
For all food drives and community events, a poster printing company will be able to help make sure as many as possible know about them, which can help to make sure it will be a success.
The Petaluma Market Food Drive day will be March 19, and the collection point will be open from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. More information and a list of food items that are needed the most can be found on the Food for Thought website.
