Petaluma families can get their hearts pumping at an annual event taking place in a week’s time.
The 11th Annual Petaluma Footrace will feature a three-mile and a five-mile race or walk. The races will take participants on a flat, scenic route through Alman Marsh and around Shollenberger Park. Runners will travel on both trails and roads. Along the way, there will be water and first aid stations.
Registration costs $33 for adults and $25 for youth. The price includes chip timing and a water bottle. T-Shirts are also available for $10. Dogs and strollers are not permitted.
The race will benefit ‘Mentor Me’, a nonprofit organization that provides young individuals with mentors for support. Flyer printing services are beneficial for getting the word out about community events such as this one.
Race gear, like bibs, can be picked up on April 18 at Athletic Soles from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm. Awards will be given to the top three male and female performers. There will also be awards for each age group.
Participants should be ready to run on April 19. The five-mile event begins at 8:30 am, followed by the three-mile at 8:40 am. Race day check in will take place from 7:15 am until 8:15 am.
It all takes place at the Petaluma Marina Business Center, located on 781 Baywood Drive. Due to limited parking, carpooling is recommended.Get a Free Quote for T-Shirts
