Locals get a taste of Petaluma

Food lovers can enjoy local flavors at the 10th Annual Taste of Petaluma later this month.

The annual event allows attendees to take a culinary tour of the area’s best restaurants, wineries, and breweries. Individuals can also step into art galleries and shops. In addition, 'Kid Central' will have games, face painting, and a treasure hunt.

Attendees can pay $40 for 10 tasting tickets. Individuals can then use their tickets to try out appetizers, desserts, wine, and other options from over 60 different culinary choices. Samples include ice cream, morning buns and coffee, chicken wings, and street tacos. Some locations may be handing out samples that do not require a ticket.

Until August 22 at 3:00 pm, tickets can be purchased at Cinnabar Theater, Gallery One, Velvet Ice Collections, Blush Collections, and the Petaluma Downtown Association. Tickets can also be purchased online or by calling (707) 763-8920. Those who can’t get enough of the food can purchase more tickets at the event for $4 each. It is likely that Stationery printers were asked to make tickets for the event.

The first 1,000 guests will receive a free tote bag. Plastic tasting glasses will be given out, although individuals may also bring glasses from home.

It all takes place on August 22 from 11:30 am until 4:00 pm in Historic Downtown Petaluma. Proceeds from the event will go to Cinnabar Theater, a nonprofit organization.
