Residents will honor members of the armed forces at Petaluma’s annual Veteran’s Day Parade and Flyover.
The parade will feature Clydesdales, cars, floats, and more. Parade announcers will be situated at three different locations along the parade route. In addition, 12 WWII veterans will act as the parade’s Grand Marshalls. Sheriff Posey of Marin will also be in the parade.
Along with the parade, a Huey helicopter, Nanchangs, and Sheriff’s and US Coast Guard Helicopters are all expected to do flyovers. The U.S. Air Force Band of the West will also entertain the crowd.
To get the word out about this event, a printing company in Petaluma was likely asked to create Flyers and other promotional materials.
After the parade, there will be a ceremony in the Walnut Park gazebo. Highlights of the ceremony will include an opening prayer, speakers, and the Pledge of Allegiance. The National Anthem will be performed, and there will be a Korean War Memorial dedication.
The celebration will take place on November 11. Parade staging will begin at 11:00 am on 4th Street. Beginning at noon, attendees can enjoy music in the gazebo. The parade will kick off at 1:00 pm followed by the ceremony at 2:45 pm.
