Petaluma foodies who love cozy comfort food will be learning how to prepare an assortment of dishes during an online culinary class planned in March.
The menu for the Italian Comfort Foods cookery class, which will be offered online, is filled with nourishing dishes from Italy, and they will be as filling as they are tasty. It will include pastas and other fare, and a hearty soup, and dessert are also included in the line-up.
The registration fee for the activity is $25, and all ages are welcome. They will learn how to prepare gnocchi with mushroom truffle as well as pasta e fagioli soup and vanilla zabaglione with fresh and brandied berries. The instruction will be supplied by chefs Lisa Lavagetto and Julie Steinfeld, and as the class will take place online, the registrants can attend from anywhere with a Wi-Fi connection.
The workshop is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm. The recipes taught during this sort of session can be collected into bound cookbooks, and items like these can be prepared by area Print shops.
This presentation of the Sonoma Community Center will be helping local amateur chefs hone their cookery skills on March 20. Anyone who is interested in being included in the activity can sign up and learn more about the host chefs by visiting the center’s website.
