School counselors can be key in helping students put their feet on the road to a successful career in college or university, and a free conference will be held in Petaluma that will help them fill their professional toolboxes with skills they can draw upon.
Community college and high school counselors from Napa, Marin, and Sonoma counties are all invited to take a seat in the symposium. It will be offered in the Petaluma Campus of Santa Rosa Junior College, and the schedule is filled with workshops, discussions, presentations, and other learning opportunities.
The morning will open at 8:30 am, and the delegates are invited to register and enjoy breakfast while they meet and network with the other attendees. Throughout the day, there will be opportunities for the group to find new ways to help their students achieve success in the future career of their choice.
A review of the latest economic trends and projects for the future in the North Bay area is one of the topics on the slate for discussion, and there will also be information provided about the various career education options at local community colleges.
