Virtual workshop planned for Oaklands future RFA Caregivers

There are many ways to build a family, and those who call Oakland home and are interested in becoming an approved caregiver are encouraged to be part of a virtual training event.

Whether they are a foster or adoptive family, relative or fictive kin, all caregivers may benefit from participating in the virtual orientation program that’s being offered by Alameda County Social Services Agency and Alameda County Resource Families. Registrations are now being accepted, and it will be offered in English.

The virtual workshop will consist of six components, and it’s intended to offer an orientation to the role of a caregiver. They will be introduced to the sorts of children in need of safe harbor, and it will provide details about the RFA program. There will be a review of the role Alameda Social Services Agency plays in the system, the responsibility of a caregiver, the RFA and also how to prepare a home for inspection and approval.

When organizing an online learning session like this, it can be wise for an organization to supply the learners with hard copy materials such as Brochures and other handouts. These can be sourced from a local brochure printing company, which will also be able to design customized certificates of completion for each of the participants.

This webinar, which can help to build supportive and loving families, will be on offer on November 5th. Those who are interested can complete their registration by visiting the host’s website.
