Kids are often fascinated by nature, and Oakland families who would like to offer their child an opportunity to explore the world around them can sign up now for a special local activity.
The kids who take part in the month of activities planned for Exploratorium will be introduced to the world of bioluminescence and other natural sources of light through an assortment of exhibits, and these will be complemented by sessions of its Storytime Science for Kids initiative. These will be on offer on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month.
The attendees will be able to listen to a story read by one of the venue's staff, and in keeping with the January theme, each will be about fireflies. This will be followed by a hands-on crafting session where the participants will be invited to make a glowing object they can take home with them. This is on offer free with admission, and there is no charge for members to participate.
Museums and other educational institutions often count offering learning opportunities as one of their mandates to the public. Handouts for these can be crafted by local brochure printing companies, which will also be able to offer promotional Pens and other swag.
The “Storytime Science for Kids: Lamplights and Fireflights” January program will run from the 1st until the 29th. It is for kids ages 4 to 7, and tickets are on offer now. Get a Free Quote for Pens
