Chipotle Mexican Grill recently announced that it is moving its headquarters from Denver to Newport Beach, the home of its new CEO.
Over the next six months, corporate staff, including human resources, finance, and other functions, will move to the new location. Those who are field operations workers and restaurant employees will not be moving. The remaining employees in Denver and those in the New York office will all move into existing offices in Newport Beach or Columbus, Ohio.
Brian Niccoi, the CEO of Chipotle, said this consolidation and move to California will provide the company with the talent that it needs in order to grow.
Chief executive officer of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corp., J.J. Ament, was unaware of this move as was Tara Finnigan, deputy city mayor of Newport Beach.
Quinn Kelsey, a spokesman for Chipotle, said that a specific location has not yet been found for the new headquarters. However, the county is home to many other chains including Pick Up Stix in Laguna Hills, Wahoo’s Fish Taco and In-N-Out in Irvine, El Pollo Loco in Costa Mesa, and Del Taco in Lake Forest.
Printing services can be used to create various kinds of printed materials to distribute throughout the community, informing the industry of such a move and the ramifications it might have on the city and the surrounding communities.
