Coco takes over Newport Beach screen

There will be a special screening of the Disney-Pixar film Coco taking place in Newport Beach this November. The show is a celebration of music, memory, and family, all in honor of Día de los Muertos.

The story follows young Miguel, who finds himself in the Land of the Dead as he searches for the truth about his family’s past while chasing his passion for music. The show will run an hour and 45 minutes and is rated PG.

Concessions include sodas, bottled water (still and sparkling), popcorn, candy, and charcuterie containers. All meals and beverages must be bought from the lobby concessions stand, as outside food and drink (except water) are not allowed. Seating is general admission and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Ground-floor seating will open first, and the balcony will be available if needed.

The theater is ADA-friendly, offering designated accessible seating and wheelchair spaces. Guests needing ADA seating may use the code “ADA” when reserving tickets and are encouraged to reach out to hello@thelidotheater.com with any questions.

Tickets are $12.50 each for general admission and can be bought through the Eventbrite listing. Planners may use flyer printing as a strategy to attract local interest and build support for events like this one that bring communities together.

The screening will be at 7:00 pm at The Lido Theater, 3459 Via Lido, Newport Beach. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
