Truffle meal set to please Napa gourmands
This December, Napa foodies will be treated to a special meal that will feature an ingredient at the top of the list for many gourmands.
Chef Carlo Zarri will be arriving from Italy, and he will be bringing both white and black truffles along with him. He will transform these into an assortment of dishes that allow these tasty fungi to shine, and the meal will consist of five courses. Chef Ken Frank will also be lending his talents to the occasion, and the price to reserve a seat at the table is $150 per person.
The host for this celebration of truffles will be La Toque, and it will be the eighth year for the event. It will begin with a cocktail reception, and once everyone has arrived and had an opportunity to mingle, the main event will begin. There will be optional wine pairings that have been specially chosen to complement each course.
A special function such as this often sells out quickly. The elegant atmosphere can be enhanced through the use of monogrammed table cards, menus, and tasting glasses that includes a graphic design crafted for the occasion.
This celebration of one of the world’s most storied ingredients has been planned for the evening of December 5. The reception will begin at 6:30 pm.
