Napa Valley celebrates Hawaii this fall

The 9th annual Napa Valley Aloha Festival is taking place next month for two days. It is hosted by, and is a fundraiser for, the Manaleo Hawaiian Cultural Foundation.

The festival is set to feature Hawaiian and Polynesian entertainment such as dancing and music, special coffee for purchase and workshops on topics such as lei making. Vendors will be on hand to sell Hawaiian-related merchandise, arts and crafts, and food. Guests will have the opportunity to try a variety of traditional eats as well.

The emcee of this event will be George Da Plumma from Ozcat Radio. Guests are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to be donated to a local food bank. They can also bring their own chairs and/or blankets to enjoy the live entertainment.

Spaces are still available for performers who wish to appear and organizers are looking for volunteers to help with the smooth running of the festival.

Funds raised from this event will go to pay for several scholarships that are provided by the Manaleo Hawaiian Cultural Foundation.

Vendors of this event may invest in banners from their favorite Napa printing company to bring more attention to their booths.

The Napa Valley Aloha Festival will be held at the Napa Valley Expo from September 17 to 18, beginning at 10:00 am each day. Admission is free. To learn more, call 707-418-8858.
