Napa invited to take a stab at needle felting
A class that will offer an introduction to the art of needle felting will soon be held near Napa, and it will be an online activity.
This chance to learn the basics of needle felting will see a group of beginners discover how to transform fleece into a whimsical goldfish. Anyone who is 13 or up is welcome to join the fun, whice the organizer note offers therapeutic qualities.
Instructors Yoyo Koch and Jane Lybecker will be guiding the participants through the basics of the craft. They will show how to first prepare a core wool base using fleece and pipe cleaners, and after this, they will be able to add their own personal touches such as fins, lips, eyes, and more. Everyone is asked to supply a felting surface, as well as wool, a pen tool and pipe cleaners, and a recording of the class will be made available for two weeks following the session.
