Napa fundraiser to feature freshly caught Maine lobster
Lobster dinners are much loved in Maine, and an event that will bring this East Coast tradition to the West will be on offer in Napa in a few weeks’ time.
The Soroptimist International of Napa recently announced that tickets are available for its annual Lobster Fest, which helps to fund a variety of scholarship programs and other activities. Tickets are $175.00, and they must be purchased before Saturday, October 8.
Each person who reserves a seat for the meal will be treated to a full market-sized lobster as well as sausages, prawns, corn on the cob, and artichokes cooked in a seasoned broth. A martini bar will be set up, and everyone can try their luck at bidding on treats in the dessert auction. A silent auction for an assortment of experiences, corporate gifts, and other items will be on the agenda as well, with many of these prizes donated by the area's business community.
The release prepared for the dinner explained that the presenting sponsor is Joe Brasil Own Napa, who has been thanked for his generosity. There may still be additional sponsorship opportunities available.
This evening of lobster fresh from the Atlantic Ocean will be serving up fun on Saturday, October 22. St. John’s Parish Hall in downtown Napa will be the location for the feast.
