Napa family cookery class to be a fiesta of flavor
Napa families who register for the CIA at Copia’s February Family Funday can add to their kitchen skills when they take part in a taco making party the culinary institute will soon be hosting.
The families that attend this flavor fiesta will discover how they can prepare tacos that are both healthy and tasty to eat. They will learn how they can add just the right amount of spice to the Mexican dish to suit their taste, and this will be just the beginning of the learning that will take place.
One of the essential parts of a taco is the tortilla shell or wrapping, and the attendees at the workshop will be making their own hand-pressed tortillas. Anyone who is four and up is eligible to register, but an adult must accompany each child.
To help keep the young chefs from getting bored, the class will be fast-paced and fun. Laminated recipe cards can be prepped by a printing services company to give to each parent and child pair so they can whip up their own tacos in their own home kitchen.
The CIA at Copia will be welcoming future chefs for this hands-on cookery workshop on February 9. It will be starting at 1:30 pm sharp, and will wrap up at 2:30 pm.
