German celebration comes to Napa this fall
The 8th annual Oktoberfest is taking place in Napa next month, presented by the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce.
Napa is just one of the many communities around the world that will be celebrating Oktoberfest and paying tribute to German culture.
Guests will enjoy traditional German foods and drink, including lots of beer. There will be musical entertainment and dancing galore, and raffle tickets will also be available for purchase.
There are set to be several competitions including the Bratwurst Eating Contest, a Yodeling Contest, and the Chicken Dance. Dogs are also welcome to take part in the Wiener Dog and the ‘Wanna-be-a-Wiener Dog’ races.
The children will not be forgotten. The Kinderspeil area will have lots of games and activities to keep them happy all afternoon.
Sponsorships are available for purchase from $300 up to $1,500. Local businesses and individuals are also invited to donate prizes for the raffle.
Napa area stationery printing companies are often asked to provide items such as raffle and admission tickets for popular events such as this.
Oktoberfest will be held at the SpringHill suites by Marriott on October 8 from 12:00 to 5:00 PM. Admission is $5 and free for children aged 12 and under. To become a sponsor, or to get the latest information about this event, contact James Cooper at 707-552-3650.
