Summer festival planned for Laguna Niguel area

The annual Sawdust Art Festival is due to be held later this year at its usual site in Laguna Beach, which may be of interest to Laguna Niguel residents nearby.

The “Sawdust” in the name of the festival refers to its humble beginnings in the 1960s, when local artists set up camp to display and sell their eclectic works. This casual bohemian vibe still exists today.

Events of this kind often employ flyer printing and other Forms of advertising so Southern California residents, as well as visitors from across the country, can mark their Calendars.

New this year will be more interactive classes and demonstrations, as well as the usual live music. There will also be beer gardens featuring craft beers, wine-tasting gardens and expanded food selections with sit-down restaurants available, as well as a variety of snack foods.

The Sawdust Art Festival is a non-profit organization. Private donations are sought by the Artists Benefit Fund. This fund is used to support both the organization and its contributing artists. Sawdust artists may apply for grants from the fund.

The 60th anniversary of the Art Festival Sawdust Art Festival will be held will be held from June 26 to September 6. Opening times will be 11 am to 8 pm Sunday to Thursday, and 11 am to 10 pm Friday through Saturday.
