Defense experts lead readiness training in Costa Mesa
A two-day preparedness workshop led by top-level security and legal professionals will be held in Costa Mesa this September.
The event aims to equip attendees with situational awareness, preventative tactics, and compliance tools for personal and workplace safety.
Hosted by Artemis Defense Institute, the "Everyday Readiness" workshop features sessions on threat recognition, emergency protocols, and California’s SB 553 workplace violence law. Presenters include Steve Tarani, a national awareness trainer and former federal contractor; Jahanyar “JJ” Jafari, a law enforcement and martial arts expert; and attorney Steven D. Lieberman, who specializes in self-defense law.
Attendees will learn to identify behavioral cues, respond strategically in high-risk environments, and implement safety protocols applicable in homes, offices, and public settings. The event also includes a legal Q&A panel.
Ticket tiers range from Basic ($198–$425) to Premium ($263–$625) and VIP ($425–$1,050). All tiers include workshop access, two books, and refreshments. Premium and VIP levels include lunches and parking, with VIPs receiving hotel accommodations and VIP speaker access. A discounted “Second Person” ticket is available as an add-on to Premium or VIP purchases.
