Unitek College in spotlight in Concord

The Greater Concord CA Chamber of Commerce will be holding two special events at Uniteck College in Concord this week.

The first one takes place this evening, and will be a cross-generational discussion in the form of a panel. All the members of the Concord Chamber of Commerce are being invited, so bringing Business Cards is highly recommended. Those companies that do business card printing may be busy as members prepare for this event.

Members of the panel will include Tania Brugger-Blanchard, current Chairman of the Board of JP Morgan Chase, and owner of Instant Imprints, Joseph Blackman. Carlyn Obringer, the City of Concord Planning Commissioner, will be there, as will Larry Sly from the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.

Campus Director Kirk Engel will provide a tour of the college, and there will be food and beverages served, as well as a social media photo contest.

The panel will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm tonight, October 20, and registration is required.

There will also be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Unitek College to unveil its new campus in Concord. Tim Grayson, Mayor of the City, and City Council members will lead the event. It will be followed by a reception where Janis Paulson, CEO, and local government officials and organizational community leaders will be in attendance.

This will be held on October 2,2 beginning at noon. Guests are welcome to tour campus after the ribbon cutting.
