Senior center goes big for holiday fair

Local officials at the Concord Senior Center have announced a major holiday gift and craft fair – one designed to help locals get their last-second personal and Corporate Gifts.

This event, returning by popular demand, will also allow customers to get a better idea of what sort of services their local senior center has to offer.

The gift fair – which is made up almost exclusively of local craft and gift vendors – will allow attendees the chance to purchase unique gifts not avilable in regular stores. At the same time, officials note that residents can feel content in the knowledge that they are purchasing gifts that will help local artists.

Officials say that this is one of the larger fairs in the area, boasting about 70 vendors, and the event is expected to attract around 400 people. Attendees selling a variety of gifts and crafts are expected to participate in this event, allowing individuals to purchase everything from jewelry to knitted goods. At the time of writing, vendors are still being sought and can register for the event by calling 925-671-3171.

The event is being held at the Concord Senior Center, which is at 2727 Parkside Circle in Concord. It will take place on Saturday, December 9 and will run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There is no charge to attend and shop.
