New bakery open in Concord

A new shop selling unusual pastries has come to Todos Santos Plaza in Concord.

Cinnaholic, a vegan bakery getting a reputation for creating gourmet cinnamon rolls, started in Berkeley in 2009. The Concord location is one of more than 100 in the chain of innovative bakeries. All the products baked at Cinnaholic are plant-based, and the company has made a commitment to use only ingredients that are animal-free, as well as being free of cholesterol, eggs, lactose, and dairy. Cinnaholic's products can be eaten and enjoyed by people with dietary restrictions, as well as those who have no difficulties with any type of food. Promotional Pens can be used to help a new business like this build its brand.

One of Cinnaholic's innovations is the fact it gives customers the chance to “customize” their cinnamon roll by choosing their own flavor of frosting, and their favorite toppings. There are over 20 of each available. Some of the bakery's choices include the Blueberry Pie Cinnamon Roll, and the Cookie Monster Cinnamon Roll. Cinnaholic sells coffee as well as pastries, which adds up to a delicious combination.

Cinnaholic was once featured on the reality-TV show Shark Tank, and more recently earned a place on Entrepreneur magazine's Franchise 500® list. The operations supervisor of the Concord location, Nakeshai Nicholson, expressed his excitement at introducing the products to the area.
