Outdoor enthusiasts and hikers in the Concord area will want to refrain from making plans next month, as a meditation hiking event will lead hikers through the surrounding nature.
The Mangini Ranch Meditation Hike’s organizers are planning a morning hike to aid in protection from the sun and heat. The hike will explore the 208-acre plot surrounding Mount Diablo, and guides will take hikers to the headwaters of Galindo Creek.
The hike will feature rolling grasslands, buckeyes, oak trees, and a desert olive grove. The path will also lead hikers to a secret spring on the property, and observant participants may spot coyotes and bobcats. Guests should bring plenty of water and snacks to ensure the energy and hydration levels needed to finish the two-hour hike. Printing services are ideal for creating maps and nature guides for participants on nature walks like this.
For individuals wanting to increase their mindfulness, three to five short meditation sessions will be offered during the hike. Restrooms will not be available, and attendees are encouraged to dress in layers. Spots are limited to 20 people for this adventure.
The hike will start on Coralwood Drive on Saturday, August 3, with hikers meeting at 7:00 AM before embarking on the route. The hike is free, and interested parties are encouraged to reserve a spot as soon as possible.
