Major star coming to Concord

She sings pop, rock, and folk music; she tours with an electric guitar, and then plays an acoustic concert, and takes a break from touring to work on television. An entertainer who refuses to be pigeonholed is calling in a few months.

Alanis Morissette is coming to Concord early this summer. Over the years, the artist has toured with such stars as Matchbox 20, Barenaked Ladies, Tori Amos, and opened for none other than the Rolling Stones.

Her current tour is a 25th anniversary celebration of her “Jagged Little Pill” album. The album won a number of awards including the 1998 Grammy Award for Best Long Form Music Video; the 1997 American Music Award for Favorite Rock Album; the 1996 Grammy Award for Album of the Year and Best Rock Album; and the 1996 Top Billboard 200 album. Worldwide “Jagged Little Pill” sold more than 33 million Copies, and even inspired a musical stage show.

A review of Alanis Morissette in concert said:

“If you are lucky to ever see her live you will be totally in awe. Since I first heard her in the radio I knew she was different . . . Pure energy, out-of-this-world voice and unforgettable experience.”

At this time, Morissette is scheduled to appear at the Concord Pavilion on June 5, at 7:00 pm. Interested parties should check with the venue in case of any changes in the schedule. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts advertising events like this.
