Although performances at the Concord Pavilion are months away, music fans might start thinking about which shows they want to see, as tickets are already on sale.
After being closed due to the ongoing health crisis, the Concord Pavilion is now developing its schedule of upcoming concerts, bringing a lineup of music greats to the city. Among those who will appear are Maroon 5, the Backstreet Boys, and Earth, Wind & Fire. The first show on the schedule is Steely Dan and Steve Winwood next summer.
Donald Fagen and Walter Becker formed Steely Dan in 1972 in New York, when Fagen overheard Becker playing in a cafe. Fagen introduced himself, the two musicians found their tastes were similar, and decided to become song-writing partners. Their music was complex, based on the harmonies and structures often associated with jazz. In their career, they have sold more than 40 million albums throughout the world.
Winwood was part of the Spencer Davis Group, which first brought him to the attention of rock fans. He went on to enjoy an extremely successful solo career, creating hits like “Back in the High Life Again.” Two of his songs, “Higher Love” and the hugely popular “Roll With It,” both made it to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He also has won two Grammys.
Steely Dan and Steve Winwood will appear June 5, 2021, at 7:30 pm. Brochure printing can be used to create programs for this type of event.
