The Meals on Wheels Diablo Region, which includes Concord, has announced that it will be hosting their annual gala. The event is meant to recognize the services provided by this local non-profit, honor volunteers, and raise funds for their critical services.
Meals on Wheels’ achievements to celebrate this year include:
- The delivery of over 600,000 meals
- An increase in fall prevention services by over 150%
- The growth of the organization “Friendly Visits and Calls,” which tackles social isolation
The event will be MCed by Paul Heggen, Chief Meteorologist at KPIX-TV. The event will feature music, dancing, and auction prizes. All money raised on the day will go to benefit Meals on Wheels and further expand their operations.
The event will be attended by some of the region’s most generous donors and business leaders, making it ideal for people who are looking to see others and be seen. Bringing Business Cards is encouraged by attendees. Furthermore, attendees are urged to attend in a charitable mood, as auction prizes may present an opportunity for interested individuals.
The event is being held on Saturday, June 10, at the Blackhawk Museum. The Museum is located at 3700 Blackhawk Plaza, in Danville. Tickets are $175 per person. Businesses interested in buying tables as Corporate Gifts may do so for $1,500 for 10 seats.
