Food trucks from around the Bay Area will be on hand to offer sweet and savory treats to people who come to the Soul on the Green event.
While everyone can enjoy the goodies on the trucks, adults are invited to sample both white and red wines from various California wineries. The fun is set for Pleasant Hills' Contra Costa Country Club, about four miles from Concord.
This is the fourth year for the festival and, as before, Pride & Joy, a pop/soul band, will provide live music. A raffle is planned, as is a silent auction, and everyone is invited, especially children. In fact, a Kids’ Zone will be set up with children in mind, offering a carnival theme and appropriate games, entertainment, and prizes.
The raffles and silent auction have been expanded to give attendees additional ways to support the CAPC. The event is scheduled to help increase community awareness about child abuse, and raise money to support the services and programs CAPC offers for free. Soul on the Green is both a fun event and an important fundraising event.
The festival begins at 5:00 pm this Saturday, August 19. The event benefits the Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC).
When organizations sponsor this type of event, they can help make it even more fun by creating Flyers that describe their mission, list the entertainment, and provide a map that shows where various vendors are located.
