East Bay Comic Con to be held in Concord
The annual East Bay Comic Con will once again be held in Concord, California.
Now just a few weeks away, the event is designed to be a major celebration of all things comic book, toy, and fantasy oriented. It will feature dozens of vendors who will sell their various wares, including toys, comics, and merchandise. Attendees of the event are encouraged to buy goo and pick up promotional products as they go.
Event officials have announced that this year’s lineup of guests will include many well-known actors in the movie and comic book scene. They include Bobby Bostwick (best known for playing Brad Majors in the Rocky Horror Picture Show), Aaron Lorpesti (a comic book creator and artist), Sam Jones (actor who appeared as Flash Gordon in 1980), and Jeffrey Weisman (Back to the Future 2 and 3). Attendees will have the opportunity to hear these actors speak and get signed autographs and pictures.
The event is being held on Sunday, February 4, and will run from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Adult tickets are $12 at the door or $10 in advance, while children 12 and under are free. The event is being held at the Concord Plaza Inn, which is located at 45 John Glenn Drive. Parking is available on site or at the Wells Fargo building.
