Disney-themed convention set for Concord

A convention celebrating Disney is set for their sixth annual run in early November, located in Concord.

Mouse-Con covers all things Disney. Collectibles, classic projects, newer films/shows, Star Wars, Marvel, and more. The event even gets some big names in the Disney world to come along as well. This year, fans can have the opportunity to meet Irene Bedard, the voice of the Disney princess Pocahontas, and C Andrew Nelson, to name a few. There are also going to be costume contests, panels, and an exhibitor’s floor.

The exhibit floor allows for vendors of Disney collectibles, art, and homemade items to sell their goods to fans, while also letting the buyers see the work/items in person before making a purchase. Businesses interested in attending can pay a fee of $110, or $175 for a corner space. There are 60 slots in total, with eight being corners.

Costume contests will be held for both adults and children. Winners of each category will get $20, with second in the adult run getting $15, children getting $10, and both getting $10 for third place. The fan favorite will also win $10. To participate, contestants must be paying attendees.

Moonball Comics will bring the event to the Crowne Plaza Inn on November 7. It will run from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Entry is $10, but kids 12 and younger can go for free. Flyer printing is often used before such events, with the product being taken to surrounding conventions and businesses for promotional means.
