Concord included in unique duos farewell tour

A pair of musicians will be appearing in Concord in mid-April as part of what they are billing as their final tour.

The duo 2Cellos is made up by Stjepan Hauser and Luka Sulic, both of whom are from Croatia. They play music from a variety of artists and genres.

The song that kicked off their rise to stardom was Glee’s cover of “Smooth Criminal,” which was originally by Michael Jackson, that featured Grant Gustin and Naya Rivera. They have since toured with artists like Elton John and Lang Lang, joining the latter at events like The Emmys, Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and Paris Olympia. This tour will mark their 10-year anniversary.

The Dedicated Tour not only marks this special achievement, but it is also set to be the last time ever that 2Cellos will perform live in concert.

Tickets range in price from $35 to $950, including a few resale prices. A VIP package is available for $249. This will get buyers a reserved premium ticket, a laminate, shirt, exclusive merch piece, and a poster. The latter items will feature a graphic design related to the artist.

At this time, proof of full vaccination or a negative test result are required in order to be granted entry into the Concord Pavillion. Face coverings are also required for those who are not vaccinated.

The show will begin at 8:00 pm on April 16, with Matt Simons opening for the duo.
