An event will show Concord area residents how they can save water, reduce their water bills, and protect the environment.
Titled “Greywater Laundry-to-Landscape Installation” and hosted by the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, the event will specifically teach event attendees how to install a greywater system, which allows individuals to take water that has been used, put it through multiple filtration systems, and then use it for a second time. Users can take water that is otherwise dirty – like laundry water – purify it, then use it for landscaping or other purposes. Given California’s water challenges, such systems have become more popular than ever of late, and help homeowners to maximize their use of water.
As always for Chamber events, this event will have a networking component, so event attendees should bring Business Cards and be ready to get to know fellow Chamber members.
This session is being held on Saturday, July 10, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. It will feature the live installation of a greywater system at a private event, so the address of the event is being kept a mystery for now and will be given after attendees register. The cost is $15.
This event is being held in partnership with Sustainable Contra Costa. Interested individuals can find out more about that organization at its website.
